PhotoGPX Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
Summary
PhotoGPX is designed to be private and local. It does not collect, sell, or share personal data.
Data collection
PhotoGPX does not collect data from users. The app does not use analytics, advertising trackers, user accounts, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Location data
PhotoGPX uses Location to record GPS tracks during photo walks you start, and to support map-based tools such as bookmarks and privacy zones.
Location data is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded by PhotoGPX. You choose when to export GPX files.
Locked-phone recording
Allow Once or While Using works while PhotoGPX is open. Always Location is used only so a walk can continue recording reliably while the iPhone is locked.
GPS recording stops when you pause, finish and save, or reach the safety limit.
Exported GPX files
When you export a GPX file, the file may contain location coordinates and timestamps. You control where that exported file goes.
Privacy Marker exports
PhotoGPX can create Privacy Marker exports that write matching private-zone coordinates as 0,0. Full GPS exports keep all coordinates unchanged.
